CD - Room
My project is complete! (pics below)
What started out a couple years ago as a project to cover the ceiling with CDs, ended up with this! I turned this spare bedroom into my daughter's toy/computer/t.v. room (it used to be my computer/t.v. room).
Initially, I started covering the ceiling years ago. After finishing 1/2 of it and stopping, within 6 months the CDs began to fall (ouch! if one hit you in the head just right). At that time I was using 2-sided fiberglass tape. After that point, I began using the tape AND silicone adhesive and they are permanent.
It took a lot of work and I had to cut several CDs to make the edges, get around outlets, fixtures, and doors. I found the best way to cut them is with a heavy duty paper-cutter (for straight cuts). For all other cuts I just used scissors. Sorry about the picture quality, but it's hard to get a good pic with all the reflections going on.
Here are the totals!
Ceiling = 688, Wall 1 = 429, Wall 2 = 372, Wall 3 = 498, Wall 4 = 361, Entryway = 247
TOTAL = 2,595 CDs
