 We
stopped here first and found that they were not open until
4:00pm and decided not to stay in Grand Rapids until
then. We did get a picture though.

Onto our final destination which is
Founders - this again was a re-do as we lost notes from
the first visit.
We sat at the usual spot – the bar.
There were only a few people because we got there
right at opening. This
always makes it easier to chat with the bartender.
In our sampler we tasted:
Red Rye 5.2%, Oatmeal Stout 4.2%, Black Rye 6.5%,
Breakfast Stout 8.3%, Double Dirty Bastard 10.3% and
Chocolate Raspberry Stout.
The Red Rye is on the hoppy side for the hops
lover, the Oatmeal Stout was very creamy, the Breakfast
Stout is great if you love coffee and dark, the double
Dirty Bastard was smooth and good flavor, and the
Chocolate Raspberry Stout was like a Chocolate raspberry
candy bar. The
favorite was the Oatmeal Stout, but Wayne said it was not
a good choice for the growler, so we chose the Black Rye.
